The contractor, Williams Brothers Construction Company, was granted 945 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $210 million. The target completion date for this project is August 2027, officials said.
This project will reach from 0.75 miles west of CR 2509 eastward to 1.6 miles east of FM 1565 and will be constructed in four phases. This work includes improving intersections at CR 2511, FM 1565, and FM 36; converting frontage roads to one-way operation; and widening existing main lanes.
This work will require night and daytime closures. Travelers will be alerted to long-term closures with portable message boards along the roadway, officials said.
